In a report by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on the impact of environmentally friendly buildings in Jakarta and Bandung as of June 2019, this building concept has saved energy costs in the amount of US$120 million. With the reduced building operational and maintenance costs, buildings that adopt the green building concept will incur lower costs than other buildings in the long term, even though the initial construction cost for a green building is relatively higher. Finally, in terms of investment, a property that applies this environmentally friendly principle will also have a higher selling value.
