PT Mitra Kiara Indonesia (“MKI”) was established on November 9, 2018. It has been entrusted to be a business entity under PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk ("SIG") group that develops cement by-products as part of SIG’s diversification strategy. Grounded in a shared vision and forward-looking business strategy, MKI has been taking steps to realize the company's vision to provide building material solutions, especially cement by-products, and to contribute to Solidifying a Better Future through professionally integrated business activities.

Through a structured and well-planned business strategy, MKI continues to optimize its performance through a business development synergy in the building materials industry with the support of a team of experienced professionals and strategic partners.

The presence of MKI in the building materials industry in Indonesia is further strengthened by the utilization of advanced technology as well as the best and the largest Research & Development Center facility in Indonesia. A commitment to continuous innovation to meet market demands for cement by-products and persistence across all business lines are the foundations of MKI’s efforts to continuously increase the added value and benefits it offers to the society.

For the improvement of sustainable performance, MKI consistently implements Corporate Governance as the basis of the company’s management in accordance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) to be used by the management as the principles and guidelines in the performance of business activities.

The application of GCG principles, namely Transparency, Accountability, Responsibility, Independence, and Fairness is necessary to ensure MKI‘s survival in the face of growing competition. GCG is also a medium for the achievement of the company's goals for the generation of optimal benefits for the society.

Alexandra H. Tamawiwy

Commissioner

Alexandra Hilda Tamawiwy is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, the University of Indonesia. She has worked as in-house legal for national and international private companies in Indonesia. She has more than 20 years of experience in the mortar and other building materials industry, human resources development, and corporate legal. Throughout her career, Alexandra has handled company licensing, legal compliance consulting, acquisition, corporate alliances such as joint ventures, joint operation, and consortium, shareholder agreement, financial transactions, employment contract, and other corporate employment cases. She is also a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI).

Mirza Whibowo Soenarto
Mirza Whibowo Soenarto

President Director

Mirza Whibowo Soenarto is the founder of MKI with more than 30 years of professional experience in finance and investment. He also has over 25 years of experience in the cement and related industries. Finishing his formal education with a Master of Arts in International Economics at the University of San Francisco in 1996, Business Administration Ext Program at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics at Trisakti University, Mirza has served in various professional executive positions in several companies outside of MKI.
